The Daily Groupon

From the creators of the social activist site Thepoint.com, comes a very interesting and practical web site designed to deliver a daily deal to customers. Each day, the website features something cool to do, see or eat in Chicago at a huge discount. If a predetermined number of people sign up for that day’s offer, each receives a “groupon” by e-mail.

The creators of the site call it “Collective Buying Power”. The business or venue that offers the deal wins by receiving a guaranteed group of customers for its offer, and the customers win by receiving a product or service at a price much lower than they could on their own.
