Sage Community Health Collective

Our Mission:
– to create a non-hierarchical worker owned collective committed to community wellness

– to challenge systemic health disparities and the traditional patient/practitioner dynamic

– to provide affordable, accessible, trauma-informed and harm-reductionist healing services including acupuncture, herbs, bodywork, and nutritional counseling

– to facilitate the pursuit of community and individual wellness via workshops and skillshares in partnership with community members, activists, and freedom fighters.

We are three individuals who have dedicated our lives to social justice, community building, and healing. With years of collective experience as activists, we have born witness to fatigue and burnout amongst our colleagues and ourselves. This inspired us to learn to heal ourselves and facilitate healing in others. In Fall 2010, we came together to create a sustainable wellness center dedicated to the holistic well being of our community.

We are united by our belief in accessible, affordable, people-centered health care which honors people’s stories and experiences and promotes liberation. We are dedicated to providing trauma-informed, body positive and harm reductionist healing services. Our collective is built around the tenets of mutual respect, actual capacity, deep compassion, and love for each other and our community.
